Become  A Leader

Imagination is the highest kite one can fly!

If you are interested in becoming an RFT Team Leader, please review and fill out a Team Leader Application, then contact us.

Team Leader Criteria

Serving as a Team Leader on an RFT trip can be physically and mentally demanding. You should also be willing and prepared to act as a mentor and guide for the students on your team throughout their high school careers. See below for more on the role of a Team Leader.

Team Leaders should be able and willing to:

Physically able to travel with and supervise a group of five students for one week during the summer on an out of town trip with a demanding schedule.

Administer and score RFT student surveys to your group (pre/post trip and midyear).
Track your students' performance for up to three years, providing guidance and support throughout their high school careers, including encouraging and guiding students through the SAT preparation and test taking process.

Help your students to develop a resume that will make them a competitive prospect as they apply to Universities and Military Academies. Work with students to pursue after school jobs or summer internships that complement potential career goals.

Assist Reach For Tomorrow in conducting follow-up and impact analysis activities with participating students, including encouraging and preparing them to participate in a second Reach For Tomorrow summer program between 9th and 10th grade.
